Intervention
My practice focuses on how cultural factors might impact people’s mental health by using interventions that are tailored to their specific needs and cultural backgrounds.
Examples of interventions used: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), Motivational Interviewing, Interpersonal Therapy.
Relationships
I recognize that healthy relationships and are crucial to a person’s overall wellness. Therefore, I approach therapy collaboratively with clients to help them address any difficulties within various types of relationships. I also assist clients in dealing with difficult life transitions, such as marriage or divorce, moving, or adjusting to new family dynamics. My approach focuses on allowing for my clients to accomplish goals with consistent support and cheerleading along the way. way.
In addition to working with clients on relationship difficulties, we address a variety of other difficulties they may be experiencing which may include stress, management of ADHD symptoms, life transitions, mood disorders, developing self-esteem, and coping strategies. To address these difficulties, I maintain a strengths-based perspective that emphasizes clients’ personal resources and positive attributes. My approach is focused on helping clients gain greater self-awareness, and achieve greater clarity in their lives.
